Beautiful game, but only worth buying for under $10, and the closer to $5 the better.
Beautiful game, absolutely gorgeous. But seriously, horribly not ready for prime time. I've been in software development for 30 years, and this is a solid BETA product. Lots of glitches, lots of network disconnects, and lots of outrageously long load screens. And even load screens to the load screens! I'm not kidding. The missions are... just OK. The story is... just OK. The characters are... yawn. Technically it's all quite good - animation, voice acting, etc. But all the actual content was clearly just slapped together at the last minute.
My friend and I both bought disc copies on PS4, for $8 and $6 respectively. Our only comment every time the game crashes, disconnects, or glitches is... "6 bucks. 6 bucks." As long as we remember that, then it was worth the price of admission.
The game is really fun, if only it worked smoothly and had a truly open world. Bioware needs to take a lesson from Rockstar Games. Rockstar knows how to do open world. Bioware seriously screwed up on this one and I don't know if they'll be able to pull it out of the fire at this point, but I sure hope so.
