God Has Spoken, Packer
Here is another rendering from a man who needs no introduction to the evangelical, and particularly (to everyone's astonishment) the Evangelical and Orthodox Anglican bodies. Yes there are some! Dr. Packer (and also Fr.) has written this work as a follow up to his famous Knowing God. It's about the veracity of the Word, ie, the Bible. I found it to be a slow read. Very sound, as one would expect of him, but still, not as gripping as Knowing God. It has aome pretty basic truths in it, which I of course am not denigrating in the least. It's just a slow read. I didn't finish it. I rated it as good because of it's soundness of theology, but I could only go that far because it's a little dull.

Voices from the 3rd Reich
A good multi spectrum rendering from the people who lived and suffered under the infamous 3rd Reich. THe German people are far from stupid, and there is a growing awareness that they had enthroned a catastrophe for them and their nation. Nazi Germany has had comparatively little published in the way of first hand accounts, compared to US renderings, and although I don't usually like anthologies, this one is good. I would recommend.
