Easy seat-up if you C wire is there
1 of 1 found this helpful Thermostats are not complicated to replace. This thermostat isn't either but there is a but. Assuming you have a new house our furnace you may not need to worry. This thermostat does not have a battery for power or backup and used the C wire (black or blue wire on t-stat) for its power. So you should have 5 wires going to your thermostat, red, yellow, green, white, and blue/black, you may also have two red wires depending on your setup. If you have 4 wires, this unit comes with an adapter that you have to hook up to the furnace then to the t-stat wiring. Its not difficult and the book tells you what to do or technical support is very helpful with this also but not everyone is going to want to crawl into their attic or wherever their furnace is at. Just because your C wire is behind the t-stat doesn't mean it is connected to your furnace. This was my issue and required rewiring at the furnace to make the t-stat work properly. So it took a 5 minute project take a few hours. Once everything was hooked up, the fan was on. Downloaded the app, and was able to control everything from that. Not sure if it defaults to turn the fan on but just a FYI if it happens to you. It is nice to be able to control from my phone so if I am away or to lazy to change the temp. You can still control by the knob on the front. You can also program a schedule and lock the thermostat from sticky fingers trying to change the temp. No fees associated with the app. I think this will help say some money in the summer time and can always be removed and taken to a new home.

Had my door check break so the door wouldn't stay open. This was cheaper than other websites. Product shipped out quickly. Was the part described and works great.

Great cleaner
I used this the first day I received it. It cleans very well and to take it apart for cleaning is easy. I just wish the cord was about 3 feet longer. Great for its price.
