AModel 1/72 scale Gulfstream USAF C-37B great model kit
Terrific new 1/72nd scale model. (Models are not generally considered "durable") Castings are nice and clean and it looks like a fun model aircraft to put together.
Railroad Shop Practice: Repair, Maintenance Methods, Tools (Lindsay)
    Aug 21, 2018
Title is self explanatory (i.e. Railroad Shop Practice)
Great piece of history. Shows how things were done back in great granddad's day when working in the railroad shops. Would have liked to have seen more about car shop and repair track operations as most of the descriptions dealt with steam locomotives though. Oddly enough, there was nothing in the book which covered the driving of hot rivets either in locomotive or car construction/repairs which was a standard in every shop on every railroad. And, which today is a lost art in itself. The cover shows two carmen using a "wheel stick" to manually move a pair of cast iron wheels, most likely from one repair track to another. It would have been nice to have a caption for the photo describing this procedure.
