Grab your pop corn for an evening with the March family.
Meg's Story of Little Women is not as complete as the other filmings of this classic story because it focuses on Meg particularly. It is as enjoyable as the other versions of the story. I say, "Watch them all!" You can never tire of this old classic story of an era of gentility and grace. The March family has humorous and serious scenes which keeps the emotions rising and falling. This DVD has an old cartoon, Jack Frost, and an entertaining Christmas episode of The Ruggles. That makes it enjoyable at Christmas time. Of course I enjoy Little Women then too, as well as every other month of the year.

The March Family is perfectly portrayed by the finest!
Little Women is a classic to be enjoyed by all ages for all times. I bought this particular filming of it because I want to own all versions this heart warming story. June Allyson, Margaret O'Brian, Janet Leigh, Elizabeth Taylor,Peter Lawford, Rossano Brazzi, and Mary Astor drew me into the story of the March family, with all of its ups and downs, so that I found myself sharing every joy and every heart ache with them. Such fine acting was refreshing and enjoyable. The story took me back to a time that I can only try to imagine with its purity and simplicity. Plus, it ended on a happy note, which I always like.

Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier in their finest!
Pride and Prejudice is the best movie of all times (my opinion). Even my husband enjoyed it...once. I have all the filmings of it that I know of now that I got this old black and white. The costuming seems to be representing a different time period than the other versions. Laurence Olivier gives Darcy a different air than the others, which bothered me the first time I saw it. Now I find it humorous. I enjoyed this very much, and I watch it often, as well as the other versions.
