Good fixture but the light is not as white as LED
I purchased this because approx. 20% of the little LED lights on my LED fixture burned out, leaving the aquarium looking pretty dark and drab. I have never been a big fan of the look of florescent light, but this got good reviews, costs a lot less than an LED fixture, and is said to last a lot longer (I sure hope so. . . the LEDs burned out in about 9 months). If you can get past the light not being a pure white light (it has a SLIGHT florescent greenish tinge to it), then this is a good aquarium light. I have a 55 gallon tank and the brightness is good. The construction is good. I purchased a mechanical timer to plug it into, so now I have automatic on/off. I have read that digital timers sometimes have trouble with florescent lights, so I recommend a mechanical timer which works great.

I works just the way it is supposed to :-)
I use this on the florescent light on my aquarium. It works great. It keeps the light regulated for my fishies without me having to think about it. It is easy to program. I read somewhere that digital timers do not alway work with florescent lights, so I got this mechanical timer. No problems.

It works well, and is compact so takes up little room in your kitchen drawer. Easy to use too!
My review is the same as my title -- it pretty much tells you what you would want to know.
