Needs special parts to function
Everything about this is proprietary. It requires an 8 pin psu, not 20+4. There are no sata power outlets on the psu so you need a mini 6 pin to sata power cable which comes off the mobo. Furthermore, the cpu fan and headers are 5 pin dell proprietary so an oem intel cooler won't work. After purchasing all these parts to make it functional I would have been better off buying a different mobo that accepts standard connections.

Same as an i7 but half the price
This is pretty much an i7 4th gen for more than half the price. It is 4 cores hyperthreaded, so 8 logical processors, same 8 mb cache, same speed. These Xeons are a secret gem for IT pros when building machines. In older Xeons, you needed a GPU in order to have graphics beyond the Microsoft basic Display Adapter, because they were intended for server use - HD graphics are not needed. This Xeon (and all since) have onboard Intel HD graphics.
