Good on/off/dimming for fans with LED... just not as tactile as a toggle switch
Pretty much the only wall switch option for dimming lights on modern fans with integrated LED lighting. Honestly, I wish there was a toggle switch-based version similar to their light-only dimmer and incandescent dimmers. There are some options with just two slides, but this is the only one I found with on/off function.
Of course most modern fans rely on remotes. Why? My house is wired for fans. Better to have a wall switch than a remote that can get lost or broken.
Anyway, I installed this with an AC motor fan with LED light kit that I had cut out and bypassed the remote control module. It works great. There are some advanced functions, like fade on or fade off, that you can set if you'd like (search Lutron Application Note #669). It's just not as tactile as a toggle switch.
