a little disappointing for a higher cost printer
A few complaints that make this printer less than stellar.
Biggest complaint, it can't handle paper of any serious weight. I used very thin label paper and a light, very light card stock. The toner is unable to "stick" fast enough because, apparently, the paper is not sufficiently heated. Yes, I also front feed. If you bought this COLOR printer to actually print a lot of COLOR images on anything but normal paper, it is very disappointing.
The machine itself is solid. Easy to set up with Linux, Solaris, Mac, (and yes, Windows too). The scanner is great, the images printed on normal paper are SUPER clear and crisp. My setup out of the box was plug it in, use the menu to set it up on the wireless network here, and voila everyone was happy. I only had to get the CD out for the Windows boxes, which installed a lot of "stuff".
Printer is quiet, not as huge as you might think (not as big as the HP Deskjet that it replaced) and nice looking. I SURE WISH IT COULD HANDLE THICKER PAPER this is quite the issue for my hobby and tiny business. Now I am left looking for another printer, and regretting having bought this one before I knew the big drawback.
Oh, it also leaves track lines from a roller? across your images. Again, on normal paper this is just barely noticable but on anything thicker it is clear as day. I suppose the toner itself is hot and the paper isn't. Not fatal, but limits the printer drastically for color printing.

only way a lot of folks will learn history
These cartoons are clean, funny, and tell Americana history in a way that is "accurate to the story" although they exaggerate to humor the kids. I have met many folks in regions of the country who don't know who Johnny Appleseed was, or Pecos Bill, and this is a delightful way to get them introduced to the legends that made up our country's history. The music is captivating (come on the Andrew sisters sing one of the songs!!!) and the stories though provoking without being twisted or sick or have some "shock value" that seems to be the only way people can figure out to get kid's attentions.
Old folks will remember these and laugh themselves silly. Kids will find the characters enchanting. Parents will go around humming the catchy tunes. This is probably my favorite of all the Disney collections (though if they'd included Johnny Fedora it would have been perfect)
this remote works.... ok. You have to be right on top of the door for it to pick up (yes I even tried different batteries) so the range isn't so great. You also have to press/hold more than I'd expect. The unit overall is thin plastic and seems a bit fragile but I haven't broken one yet. Just not good and solid feeling. I would probably shop around a little first next time but this was the same opener my door installer gave me so I went with it. Again, it isn't bad I even gave it 4 starts but its not whiz-bang the best either.
