Nice knife, pretty sharp

First it arrived 3 days earlier than I had been told. That's great! This is a really nice cleaver. It is not too heavy and it pretty sharp. (could be sharper, but it is OK) My garden helpers use knives like this and chefs knives and also serrated knives to take down the hosta leaves and chop them up in the garden at this time of year. That helps the leaves degrade better over winter, providing soil nutrients for the plants in the spring. It is kind of like leaf mulch.

Seems like a good product if it fits in your bird bath.

It's very hard for me to write a review about this product, because I couldn't use it. It was too big for my bird baths. It was too thick to fit under the water by more than about 1/8th of an inch. That's not enough coverage. I would have to be running to put more water in the bird bath (BB) constantly to keep it submerged. It was also a bit too big around and barely fit between the raised platform, for birds to stand on, in the center of my BB and the outer edge/rim. I will say that it arrived promptly and I had no difficulties returning it for full credit. I think it was built in USA. That is one reason I wanted to at least give it a try. I would recommend it if your BB can accomodate its size and shape. I did a lot of research and felt that this was a good value. It also seemed to be well built. One feature in particular that I thought was great, was the slight bend in the cord where it attaches to the heater. Others I had in the past just came straight out, making it difficult to lay the heater flat while directing the electric cord up and out and over the edge of the BB. With this bend, this product did a pretty good job of laying flat. I ended up just buying a heated bird bath bowl and setting it on top of my regular BB. This is working really well.

Nice knife if it were sharp.

I received the product 2 days early. The knife is as described except that it is dull as a blade of grass. Fortunately, I have a sharpener. So it should be good to use once I sharpen it. It is very light weight and the handle feels good in my hand. The handle is partly a soft, "rubbery-type" of material (possibly silicone) and partly metal. If it were sharp, I would recommend it.
