The real deal...
A nice book that is helpful to learn how to do different hairstyles. The pictures that guide you are real photos and not drawn which make it easier to understand along with the written instructions. I have tried books with drawn pictures that are the step by step parts with only a finished real photo, but this book is much better by far!

Sifting through the strands...
I could not see inside the book at the pages when I ordered this book for my daughter. Upon receiving it, we were both a bit disappointed. There is a final picture of a human. of what the hair style should look like, but the steps to reach that point are drawings. It is hard to see the hair progression from picture to picture because of all the strands that are drawn. If you can sift through that then the book is workable.

A great lesser known series...
I was excited to find this book to complete the 1-9 books I purchased for my duaghter’s birthday. She loves historical fiction, and she enjoys reading a series to delve into the character development. I have read another series by this author when I was a kid and loved it. She wrote this set after I was passed this stage, but when I saw it, I knew my daughter would love to read it. She flew through the first book and is almost done with the second book. She says they are “really good”. She likes wholesome, clean, and realistic books and that is what these Hilda Stahl books bring the reader.
