Ideal only for light hobby use
2 of 2 found this helpful Not for continuous use due to lack of heat control. The tips can get dislodged when using with some hobby materials. This is only good to cut through thin plastic and not materials like fiber plastics.

Flies Right out of the box. Could be better with upgrades
This 450 size helicopter is not for beginners. The later models that are sold ready to fly priced below $250 are worth the money if one is an intermediate helicopter pilot. It flies better than the more expensive brands because of its 6 axis (3 axis + 3 accelerometer) to enable the helicopter to hover with little assistance. Parts however, are getting scarcer since Walkera had stopped making helicopters and concentrated on drone manufacturing. However, they are still available in eBay and other websites. Else, parts from other makers can be substituted. Have long experience with Walkera helicopters and they do fly well from regular to 3d flying. It could fly better by upgrading the V450D03 to use parts from Align Trex, CopterX. For the money and price point, it's a good bargain for the hobbyist who wants a good rc helicopter without losing their
