Perfection
Even though the Sony 1000m3 gets all the attention when it comes to noise cancellation, IMHO it’s ugly as sin. The B&O H9i offers very good noise cancellation, and uncoloured natural sound. Between the two, the H9i sounds more authentic to the recording. And the looks, well no contest. The H9i are simply gorgeous.
Some fun things about the H9i
- expensive quality impression
- ergonomic external user interface for all functions
- playback stops when removed from head, and resumes when returned
- replaceable battery
- beautiful fit and finish
- 18-21hrs is Playback
- there is an external 3.5mm jack to keep listening if the battery is dead
- ANC works great, good enough for most situations
- balances natural sound
- phone app to tweak the sound profile for your preferences, if needed
- light, doesn’t fatigue after long listening
- touch controls are elegantly integrated and are logical and easy to use
Things that could be better:
- “transparency” mode - wish it allows music playback while still introducing ambient sound.
I have the B&O H6, H7, and H8 too. Purchased when they were first released respectively. And while all are great in their own right, the H9i has all the functions you could want. I will most likely sell them now that I have the H9i.
TL;DR - the H9i is headphone perfection.

Pricey but worth it...and unfortunately discontinued :(
Let me just say that I’ve tried a ton of “cheaper” headset microphone adapters to convert my Bang and Olufsen H9i into video conferencing headsets for online business. And those solutions left a lot to be desired, such as cheap materials and poor quality sound.
The Master & Dynamic boom mic is eye watering ly expensive. But I can at least confirm they are excellent. The quality of materials are what you expect for the price - first rate. Seems like aluminum or magnesium construction, but I don’t know for sure. Certainly doesn’t feel like plastic. Adjustability is fantastic with excellent articulation. Cable quality is first rate as well. This all adds up to a fantastic audio experience. People. An heat me loud and clear. And I can hear audio without any interference.
It’s a lot of money, but if you want a quality product that won’t compromise audio quality, these are it.
Too bad though: they are discontinued.
Find them on eBay and get lucky.

One of the greatest Porsche related toys ever.
This is quite simply a marvel in miniaturization and technology. If you thought 1:43 scale static model cars were amazing, this will blow your mind.
Think about a 1:43 scale hobby-grade model of a 997 GT3. Now add working suspension front and rear. Then digital proportional steering and throttle. And a true rear-engine layout. Crazy right?! Then you can top it all off with a gyro if you so desire. If this doesn't blow your socks off, then please check yourself for a pulse.
If you love RC cars, this is the holy grail. Never before has such a small RC car of this quality and detail been offered. It's a feat of engineering that to this day has not been equal led or surpassed.
If you love Porsche, you can simply enjoy the craftsman ship of the accurate and detailed body. It is a very fine example of the GT3 proportions that you can appreciate inter palm of your hand.
Unfortunately the dnano series has been discontinued. So if you have the chance to own one of these amazing creations, treat yourself and jump at the chance to own one of these. Because they will most-likely never be available ever again. Although I hope I'm wrong because these are truly awesome.
