A Classic
1 of 1 found this helpful This is an excellent eau de cologne, crisp, citrusy, and quite long lasting for this type of fragrance. It's better than some of the more expensive ones I've tried, and I intend to get more of it.

A rather unique woody aromatic fragrance
This fragrance lives up to its name! It doesn't smell like actual ink, but it does remind me of it. It opens with a cypress note, very woody and just a bit dry. Vetiver is the main note on me, a very dark and earthy vetiver. It's difficult to describe, it's quite unique and I've not smelled anything like it before. It isn't something everyone will like, but its woody, dark and mysterious and I love it. It's marketed for men, but I know quite a few women (myself included) who wear it. Longevity is good, sillage is moderate.

Layers very well with the EDT
The oil has a lighter scent than the EDT, but I apply it first then spray the EDT over it, and this makes the scent last longer. Eau de Campagne is a VERY green scent, and one of my top favorites. It opens with a sharp herbal note that turns a little grassy, but you get the entire meadow here - grass, vegetation and a whisper of wildflowers but it never turns sweet and it has a beautiful earthy base. No surprise that it was created by Jean-Claude Ellena who excels at this type of fragrance!
