More of a cerebral animation than the run of the mill.
Like most Studio Ghibli films, there are a lot of layers to this one. You can watch it 5 times and pick up on things that were missed times before. I can't say that about a majority of animations. Additionally, for Japanese language learners, these films are gold. You just listen in Japanese with English subtitles.
