Beautiful doll that celebrates a successful daughter.
When I saw this Barbie doll listed that celebrates Sally Ride as the First Woman Astronaut, I just had to buy it. I gave allergy shots to her mother back in the 1970's at a doctor's office in a Los Angeles suburb. She looks just like her mother, Joyce. I'm glad to see that Barbie celebrates successful women in their line of dolls. Joyce was so proud of her daughter and all of her accomplishments. All young girls should aspire to being as successful in their own endeavors.

Lightweight and adds whimsy
This figure adds whimsy and fun to my Christmas village. I have a Lemax mountain where I have a number of ice skaters and sledders and this item adds something cute to see in the display. The quality is good, it's lightweight, yet stable. All eyes are closed for the kiss. Realistic.
