This converter works well.
2 of 3 found this helpful My new tv doesn't have an audio out, except an Optical Toshlink connector. My Sound system doesn't have a Toshlink input. I bought this with the hopes that it would make the conversion for me. It works well and now I have surround sound from an external disk plugged into my tv using AVI ripped movies. Great piece of equipment if you need to connect newer and older equipment together... One issue I have run into is that if I play a mp4 movie I just get a digital clicking sound... Not sure what is going on!
