    HOGUE MAUSER 98 STOCK W/PILLAR
    Sep 13, 2016
    Great stock for the $$$
Bought this for a commercial Dumoulin Mauser 98 (FN style) project. I had to trim the rubber at the tang a little to get the action to fit, had to trim the rubber at the front of floor plate a little more to get the floor plate in. My barrel is about a #3 taper and fit a little snug so I trimmed the barrel channel with a razor until a piece of paper slid all the way down easily. None of this surprised me, I've used a Houge stock on another project and will likely use them in the future.

8 Guitar Neck Threaded STEEL INSERTS+Stainless Oval head screws BEST DEAL *USA*
    Aug 15, 2018
    WAY better than wood screws!!
Easy to install. My favorite way to attach a guitar neck, MUCH more secure and MORE tone than wood screws. I've seen these in zinc pot metal and brass, STEEL is the way to go. Once you drill the holes use a countersink to bevel the top, that will ease installation and prevent the surface from chipping out.
