Aftermarket; not Tecumseh Name Brand
1 of 1 found this helpful This was advertised as "New Tecumseh . . . " but it did not come in Tecumseh packaging and appears generic like the others sold for $5 less than I paid for this one. If I knew it was the same as all the other aftermarket generics I would have bought the $10 one instead of this one for $15. Not worth sending back. The coil does appear of decent quality and so far works fine (it's only been installed a day).

When will H&R Block fix this software?
On Windows 10 the Business software only loads on the Administrators account not a user account. You can edit the properties of the executable to get the icon to show on a users account but why do they make it so difficult? The Business software is fine but there is a steep learning curve. You cannot chose where to save the data files but you can back them up where you want. Why? The regular "Premium" will not let you resize the window so it is always full screen. Why? I prefer a strip of desktop icons on the left side. Written by software bullies; give the users basic freedoms. Customer Support is difficult to track down and borderline incompetent which is unfortunately typical everywhere today. Despite the complaints I use this year after year because it is cheaper than the alternative and better the devil you know. . . .

Works but could be better
1 of 1 found this helpful There are two separate programs on one disk. The personal is very easy to use, no problem. The business program does have a learning curve but once you figure it out it works fine. Compared to the personal program the business software is less guided in filling out the tax forms. Business program installs only under administrator profile (I'm using Windows 10), but if you find the file "HRB2017.exe" (typically c:/program files/h&R Block Business 2017/HRB2017.exe) right click it and send a shortcut to the desktop in a non-administrator login you can open the program from that shortcut/profile though you will be prompted for the administrator password to open the program.
