No OSS so it’s back to basics
1 of 1 found this helpful This lens had a learning curve for me because it lacks stabilization. I couldn’t figure out why my pictures were so soft until I put it on my wife’s a6000. She shoots lots of photos of our grandchildren on the fly and utilizes shutter priority, hardly ever going below 1/125 even with OSS lenses. Problem solved for me. I now shoot 1/125 indoors, and 1/160 outside unless I’m going for a certain effect. Sharp pictures, great contrast, wonderful color. Don’t overlook Clear Image Zoom either, as it will take this prime lens and make it into a credible 24 - 48 (36 - 72) zoom and enable you to use this lens as an all purpose one. An important consideration given its cost.
