A beast for a reasonable price
I was looking for a relative beast for a reasonable price. I do graphics as part of my consulting work. Volunteer work may take me to the world of GIS and mapping. So I needed a graphics-heavy machine with lots of power.
This machine should provide just that.
I took a calculated risk with a refurbished PC, and worried that I would have problems, warranty hassles, and such.
It turns out that the combination of vendor, Mastertronics, and OEM, Dell, has apparently worked out just fine. This PC is a stud. And now I have a machine with Dell quality, 12th gen i7 power, 64 RAM, mucho storage, and heavy graphics capability, all for a price far less than any comparable - but lesser - laptop. Time will tell how reliable this is, but so far I'm very happy.

Solid performer
I have the advantage in that I directly replaced one HP 7740 with another. This model has been made for that long. My old one took a lightning hit and lost its ability to scan. After some shopping I decided to replace it like-for-like. This version has a much better support interface than the old one did. It's too new to have checked everything, but here are the things that were difficult with my previous version: 1) The paper trays and selecting the right paper size to print was a clunky interface that saw me regularly print on the wrong size paper. 2) When scanning, selecting "11x17" size would result in an 8-1/2 x 17 scan. Now, this version only lets you "Scan Entire Flatbed Area" which is 13 x 18 or some such. This is an improvement but not ideal. 3) Ink is expensive! I hear that you can save if you sign up for HP Ink Auto-Refill service, and I'll probably try that. [Now for a good one.] The 2-sided print and scan function really saves paper, and I love the feature. It even works on 11 x 17 size.

Scandals' Cliffs Notes
I suppose this book would be good for a young adult or perhaps somebody who knows little about sports. However, it is simply a list of famous scandals of the past filtered as though written by the Cliff's Notes people. It never dug below the surface headlines of any of these scandals. Adding frustration to a reader from the USA, the book is football (soccer), rugby, and especially cricket-centered. Un-curious UK and Euro readers are the better market.
