  The clock does not chime . It was described as keeping time and chiming on the hour and half hour. I got the clock to run in beat and it keeps time. It does not chime on the hour or half hour . I am Disappointed I am Going to have to go get it repaired which will be costly .

  Did you not receive my reply? You said the clock chime mechanism was working, it just wasn't striking the wire chime. I replied with a suggested fix. The wire coil is likely just rotated slightly perhaps when you removed the packing material? I thought you said you would look at this. It should not need a costly repair. You should be able to do this yourself. You should only need to move the coil slightly so that the hammer hits it.
