You need it for PA and home theater, too.
First - MY product came with everything in Chinese except the labels on the device itself. Does that matter to you? Otherwise good luck. An audio CD is provided with white noise and a click track to pulse the speakers for polarity check.
If you are a real technician / engineer, you will build a click box or popper that puts out + polarity pulses OR just flash a drycell / battery onto the speaker terminals / wiring so + pushes the speaker cone "out". This device will correctly indicate "green". ALL your speakers should phase correctly or you will lose bass or get bizarre stereo imaging. This device is kind of cheap but it will do the job .. and you know that you need one. Build your own pulse generator, though. BTW - my background is in rock-and-roll sound where a reversed speaker just blows up when you push it harder to make it sound right.

Gotta Love Mr Bill
Mr. Bill is too precious for dogs ( although Zoey lives it ) but it is the ideal office companion. For we fans of SNL and Mr. Bill, many times throughout the day, at the office, it is a stress reliever to give Mr. Bill a squeeze. Oh Nooooo ! Get it, you will treasure it. If you get tired of it, Mr. Hand or Mr. Sluggo can let the dog have a turn. Maybe your kids as well. So: you probably need one if you're reading this actual review.

Upgrade from points and condenser
This is a drop-in for the factory solid-state ignition except does not have rivet-head to position air deflector.
Will directly replace old-style points and condenser ignition except if magnet N / S polarity of flywheel magnet is reversed.
That should never be a problem except it an aftermarket or serviced flywheel is used - and even then only if it is re-gaussed improperly.
What you gain is reliable spark, easy starts, no wearing parts. It makes sense to abandon the existing points and condenser in place - just cut the wire. DO connect the external wire to the kill or safety switch so it is possible to turn off the engine.
The spark plug wire might be too long - and need to be shortened and the terminal reattached. Also - there is no rubber cover on the spark plug terminal unless you supply you own.
You could also consider keeping a factory-stock coil and using a ten-buck external solid-state ignition module. Most external modules have two terminals that can be connected to accept reversed magnetism flywheels.
Installing this solid-state ignition coil is easier and faster than trying to deal with pulling the flywheel and replacing points-and-condenser. All around - a good deal.
