It's a cool little coffee maker. Super easy to use and clean up. It's a French press/espresso hybrid. I'm still working on coffee quality--there are 100's of tips and recipes on the internet. I might prefer French press, but it's more of a mess to clean up (at work, w/o a sink), and I couldn't find one this compact.

Cute little preamp/switching unit.

Great looking little unit. The dancing VU meter IS pretty cool. Smaller than I expected. Good quality box and switches. Does it mellow the sound as a tube pre-amp is supposed to? I'm not sure. I'm no tube head, but true tubers swear that the brand/make of tubes matter. With only a few hours on the tubes, this unit with the (cheap Soviet) stock tubes might be a bit brighter than without? Would love to hear others' input.
