Beautiful picture (only) book!!
1 of 1 found this helpful The beautiful illustrations in this award-winning book tell the old story of the lion who is done a great favor by a mouse. It is unfortunate that this book was given a bad review simply for not having words because that is the kind of book it is intended to be, and if the person had wanted one of the many versions that have words they should have bought one of those instead. So please ignore the review of that person as it is completely inappropriate. I bought this book to send to our sponsored child in Africa who speaks a different language and is just now barely learning to read. It would do no good to send her a book with English words in it. But I want her to love books and believe this one to be an excellent choice. I'm certain she will love "reading" it.

My 6-year old grandson absolutely LOVES the Wild Robot books! Wonderful story and illustrations.
