Another expertly executed collection.

This was one of the first The Marvel Art of books o remember seeing and it was always sold out or very expensive. Luckily I found this affordable version to enjoy the full history of the artist up to the date of publication. Never before seen preliminary sketches and artist commentary give rare insight into the creative process and informs of decisions artists were faced with to arrive at the striking and iconic cover art that grace these books. It’s about time for a volume two, Marvel! I thought there was one for Simone Bianchi. If there is i I must find it. If there isn’t why isn’t there?

I got the goods! Incredible beat mint in. An excellent addition to my bookshelf. DC Vertigo broke a lot of ground increasing the reach of comics and graphic novels and this foray into crime should have been more successful. Exceptional art by Jason Latour, but that’s the homie, so I might be biased.

McFarlane HALO 4 Series 1 CRYOTUBE Only, Series after Halo Reach

Outside of the box.

I’ve seen several collectors scarfing up the cryotube, but not necessarily for HALO. The tube is great for dio scenes. I’ve seen it used in Weapon X program and Super Soldier themes and even in horror scenes. I’ve seen it with Bandai figures, but mostly with 1:12 sized lines like Marvel Legends. Cool looking and versatile. I have four and could use one more!
