Weber Smokey Joe Premium(Gold) 14-inch Portable Grill
After using my new Weber Smokey Joe Premium(Gold) 14-inch Portable Grill I purchased, I noticed it took longer to get as hot as other grills. I had opened the vents on the sides and the top wide open and even turned one set of the side vents into the wind and still took a while to get hot. Others had said the same thing about this grill and didn't understand why Weber hasn't put the vent in the bottom like they did the Smokey Joe Silver which seems to cook fantastic. The only real reviews I have read that didn't give this grill 5 stars, gave it 4 stars because of this same problem. This is also why I gave it 4 stars as well. I ran across a video on YouTube that showed how they bought the extra parts and installed them on the bottom same as the Silver and said they made the Premium(Gold) cook fantastic like the Silver. I have ordered the same parts to do the same with mine. I guess we could call it the Platinum! :) I know I am going to really enjoy cooking on it after I am finished.
