Similar but different westerns.
If you're a Clint Eastwood fan and are still watching the DVD versions on a big screen, this two movie pack in Blu-ray is worth the upgrade . However, if you have never watched these movies, consider them among the best of Eastwood's western offerings, but for different reasons. While both movies show Eastwood as a reluctant participant in old west lawlessness, the similarities end there. The Outlaw Josie Wales has the actor as a pursued man while In Unforgiven, he is the pursuer. The former movie is a well balanced story with action, drama, and some humor. The latter movie is gritty and dogged in it's story of revenge for hire. Some watchers may will find they prefer one type over another, but they are both worth watching at least once (my wife will watch Josey Wales again but not Unforgiven).
