Great thermometer.

This is exactly what I needed for taking to the hot springs. It is light enough to carry on a hike, and has the wide temperature range. It looks as if it will float upright, though I have not tested it yet.

Very nice part.

This is the second one I have purchased. It is a very well constructed piece. Decent weld. Well coated. Instructions are correct and clear. Just make sure you have a good drill bit for drilling the frame for the front (big) bolts.

Better quality than original. Same size as original

This does fit Maytag gas cooktops. I recall seeing that it does not.They are the same size as the originals. I recall reading that some were not pleased that they did not fit securely. I used a dab of RTV gasket maker sealer on each one to hold them in place. This is how the originals were secured as well. So my final decision is that these are as good or better quality than the originals. And a great price considering the only original replacements are over $4.00/ea..
