A more cost effective commercial router!
This is an amazing router, it's the swiss army knife of routers. The 9 core cpu can do a heavy load of tasks while rarely peaking out. My throughput has tripled on my gigabit internet connection, compared to my Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite. It is however about $300 more in price. I was lucky enough to get this one for $400 CAD.
RouterOS is easy enough to learn if you have a good understanding networking, it took me about a day to figure out where all the settings were. You do need to lock it down as it comes pretty much wide open by default.
I've noticed that many of the datacenters I deal with are using Mikrotik routers/switches more often in these cost effective days.
All-in-all, it's the best router I've ever own, and I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. It's up there in features & stability, along with the big boys like Cisco, Juniper etc., but at a more reasonable price.

Best value/performance for the money!
The Mikrotik rotuers are amazing and are the best value & TCO! They are the swiss army knife of the networking world. There is a steep learning curve if you are beginner or novice, but if you know your way around other networking hardware like Cisco, Juniper, pfSense or VyOS. It will only take you about 24hrs find your way around!
