Wrong sized air filter
Air filter was 1/2 inch too tall. At local J Deere shop they showed me how there were two motors used on lx255 and the shorter one was for my mower. So I bought it and it fit perfectly. It wasn't listed that way on here. The rest of the kit was good, but it don't save me money because the wrong sized filter wouldn't work.

Good information
The item is just as I expected, and seems to work well. The display is well lit but it rotates through the various facts rather quickly so I've taken some video with my phone if I want to look closely at every bit of information it makes available. I like it, and the price was reasonable.
