great printer; reliable and economical to operate
The first one of these I had lasted 13 years. When it finally started to fail, I bought another one.
It's been a very reliable printer for me, and I like that toner cartridges and toner refills and replacement drums are cheap. It's a tad tricky to set up under Linux, but eventually worked for me after (a) resetting network settings to factory default, (b) hooking it up to a network with a DHCP server, (c) booting the printer with the Ethernet plugged in, (d) waiting a few minutes, (e) printing a settings page and observing the IP address assigned, then (f) configuring the printer via Linux printer settngs.
