Great for Scraps
3 of 3 found this helpful I am using this ruler to make a dresser scarf, and it is turning out great, but I am only giving this four stars because the directions that come with it are somewhat confusing. I have watched a few online videos and got help with it at a quilt retreat, so I have it figured out, but if you only had the directions that come with the tool, I think you might have a little trouble with it. I am also rating it as not a good value because I think it's crazy that this little piece of plastic costs $18, but ALL quilting rulers seem crazy-expensive to me. I am using narrow scrap pieces to make my blocks, and without this ruler, it would be hard to work with these tiny pieces accurately, so the ruler does make the pineapple block much easier to construct and the blocks, with all those little pieces, do look impressive when you see them laid out together---the finished product looks like it would be allot harder to sew than it was. I have recommended this to my quilting friends---along with the online videos that show you how to use it.

Convenient selection of sizes---great quality darning needles.
These needles are now living in my knitting project bag. The needles are smooth and of good quality, and there is a nice selection of sizes. So far, the stopper has stayed on the tube, so the needles haven't "escaped". I have used them to weave in ends and work kitchener stitch.

Makes Super Cute, T-tiny Twister Blocks
I used this ruler to make a zipper pouch. The tiny pinwheels are super cute, probably because they are so tiny. The downside is that their small size did make them a bit fiddly to sew. The ruler is clearly marked, comes with well written instructions, and has gripper dots stuck to its corners, so it is easy to use. I didn't rate it highly on value, but I think $10 for a tiny piece of plastic with a couple of lines marked on it is kind of crazy, but in my opinion, quilt rulers are just overpriced in general.
