Pollak pull/push toggle switch, snap action very positive, high current rating
Pollak has been switches and automotive related electrical items since the 1930s. These are made offshore, but are still the original design and brand. There are copies out there without the Pollak name. They seem OK, but the switches I got were actual Pollak brand. These switches carry a lot of current and are very high quality construction. Perfect for a lamp switch on the tractor or automobile. I say tractor because I have used these brand switches on tractors that sit outside for many years, and the weather does not effect them. Not many switches are as good. These are about as old school quality as you can get. The positive snap action is fabulous. Very satisfying to operate this switch. I bought 4 of them, just to have them in stock in my garage shop. A +

Good Bijur replacement hose
This is a good hose. I was using it to replace the old hose on my Bridgeport milling machine. The mill has the Bijur oiling system, and the fittings use 5/32" tube with 5/16-24 flare and compression fittings. This hose is actually Metric, and it's end fittings are for 4mm tube with M8-1.0 thread flare fittings. As it turns out, these Inch and Metric fitting thread will absolutely work together and are perfectly interchangeable.
This hose fit on the fittings of my factory Bijur lube pump and distribution manifold. So I hope this helps people who are unsure of the fitment of this hose. In my use, it worked will. ---Dan A,

Good hammer but misses the mark.
It is a good brass hammer. One thing I did not like, is the handle is too short for the weight of the head.
You just can't get the right swing with a handle that short. Another thing with the handle, it is the total wrong contour for the human hand. Take example from a jeweler's hammer, the handle needs a larger butt swell and a slender neck. This handle has just the opposite. It looks like a snake that swallowed a mouse. I used a drum sander on mine to take a lot of bulk out of the body and some out of the neck. This left the butt proportionally larger than the rest of the handle's features, and the result was a more proper contour. It still needs to be 2" longer, but the use of the hammer is much improved after I re contoured the handle.
As to the brass, it is pretty soft and will eventually mushroom over through years of use I suspect. This is ok and actually good. A brass too hard tends to splinter off, which is dangerous. I bought the hammer for use around my surface plate, to tap in parts to their planes of datum to measure and fixture them for machining operations. I like the weight of the hammer, as sometimes there is not a lot of room to swing it with the confines I work in. Worth the price, but expect to modify it to fit your needs. I could have made my own hammer with the materials I had on hand in my shop, but I thought I would try this one, as it was a good price. In the end I should have made my own, due to the farting around I did with this one. Nothing lost. It was an exercise if nothing else. ---Dan A.
