Worth a try to fix a stud instead of replacing it.
I tried to fix a stud that was slightly damaged on the very tip of the stud. It didn't work. I got a lug nut to start but it started to strip the lug nut. It was worth a try, I'll be replacing that wheel stud that is damaged.
