I've only used this cover reel twice and it's worked great so far! I was able to assemble it in about 20 minutes and had the pool cover attached in another 10 minutes. I would recommend attaching the pool cover to the straps while the cover is still in the pool. Just pull the cover out of the water enough to safely secure the straps and then reel it in. I tried it on dry land and it was really hard to roll the pool cover on the reel because the ground creates a lot of friction. Also, when you're rolling and unrolling the cover from the reel you may need a second person to hold the reel down so it doesn't tip over. It doesn't have much weight to it and it tips over easily but my 6 year old is able to help me so it's not a problem. I'm happy with this purchase!
