A must read!
If you're a Porsche-o-file, or even just an all around gear head, you need to read this book. It's a pretty complete history on the 917. It gives you development details and race history. Including information on the 917/20 and both the Can-Am models. 2 greasy thumbs, WAY UP!!!

Typical Tamiya quality
The kit has the excellent engineering that we've come to expect from Tamiya. It's a must have for fans of sports car racing and of course Porsche-o-philes.

Excellent Book! Invaluable reference resource.
I build scale model cars; the reference that this book provides is fantastic. The photos are clear and full of detail. Dave Friedman is one of the best photographers...period. His phots capture everything I'm looking for in reference material. This book will be invaluable for a few upcoming projects. If you're into Grand Sports, or a model builder, then you need this book.
