Fantail vs fantail pro
It’s been two weeks on the water using the fantail pro 580G after owning the 580G regular fantail for a few years. I upgraded after the nose pads and ear pads wore out on my fantails. Pros of the new pro: great ventilation compared to the regular fantail. Never any fog inside the lens. The fit is about the same as the regulars. The only con is the adjustable nose pads. After about two hours these nose pads seem to cause pressure points and dig into my nose leaving impressions where as the regular fantails distribute the pressure more evenly and I could wear them all day. This is just my issue with them, not a deal breaker but something to be aware of.
