Great for recording
These cymbals sound great to me. In a recording situation loud Hi Hats are kryptonite for your mix, these mix well. The master sound edge keeps them alive when chicking and closed hi hat playing. When open they sound great, but are not as load as most hats I've played.

Great EQ'd kick batter
For hard hitting music this is an awesome head. Very little muffling needed to get a tight sound out of it with either the small or larger muffling ring. I would never recommend for an open sound. I find it is unusable without the muffling ring installed do to the head flapping around which is very audible through a mic.

Solid keyboard at a great price.
I love that I will not have to worry about charging and or replacing batteries.
