USE Exposure TraceR Rear Bike Cycle Light
    Jul 02, 2022
Best rear light that I have owned but with two things that need improving.
I have been using this rear light now for several years. It is the best rear light that I have ever owned to date but there a few simple things that really should be modified hence dropping one star. The two worst things about this light is 1 the mount and 2 the tiny pull tab on the elastic rubber band that you have to pull to access the port to recharge it. The mount isn't great as it uses an elastic band which when you are cycling I have to keep having to adjust as it moves on the seat post so the light is pointing more to the side. It's not quite so bad when the band is new but over time it stretches and gets worse, it will also depend on the width of your seat post. Why don't Exposure release a new mount that you can screw tight and you can just leave it on and pop out the light when leaving your bike? The pull tab to access the charging port is less of an issue but it is so small it makes it really difficult to pull it to gain access, again why don't Exposure make the tab slightly bigger? I only use the light flashing and in the least bright setting so the run times are longer and is more than bright enough at night or days when raining or very heavy dark cloud.. Using it on the highest setting which is only supposed to be used during day time as it dazzles in this mode at night and eats the battery big time. I took a photo to show how the light ends up pointing after a short time cycling, the other two photo's show how small the lip is that you need to pull to access the charging port.
Clarks Elite Bike Brake Pads MTB Hybrid V-Brake Triple Contour Block Bicycle NEW

    Look good on the bike
Like the look of these pads and they are fairly good in the wet being as they are quite a soft compound. Downside of them being a soft compound is they don't last all that long. I commute 100 miles a week with just two hills I have to go down with a set of lights that are always usually on red so you have to come to a complete stop so heavy use of the brakes. The rest of the journey is flat with next to no brakes needed or very little and I find they only last me about five or six weeks at the most. They squeal like a pig though if you just put them on without making sure you toe them in. That means ensuring they are angled slightly so part of the pad touches the rim first before the rest of it. That's the only two reasons why I have dropped a star for these pads, short lifespan and will squeal loudly if not setup properly.

MKS AR-2 Bicycle Cycle Bike Alloy Body Road Pedal With CR-MO Steel Axle

    Alright for the money
Been using these pedals for years, I do about 100 miles a week commuting and they last about 8 months before the bearings start to make some noise. They are easy to take apart and clean out and re-grease but I find I can never get them adjusted back perfectly. They are either too tight so don't spin freely like when new or slightly too loose and you get a little bit of play and usually a bit of noise when cycling. If you do service the bearings yourself don't tighten the lock nut down too much, I have in the past damaged the nut over torquing and then the threads get damaged and you can no longer tighten it. The bearings are tiny and fiddly to work with and usually I just buy another pair of them because it's easier. They are pretty light as well.
