Excellent RPG Experience
2 of 2 found this helpful I’m a lifelong video game player (in my late 30’s) and I do not typically play turn-based RPGs. However, the graphics, music, story, combat system and multiple characters all combine to make Octopath Traveler a compelling piece worthy of your gaming hours. The combat system is easy to catch onto, the enemies come in several varieties, and you have the option to fight in a party or alone. The 8 characters involved also have their own stories and purposes for existing, with none feeling like a repeat of another. Finally, the graphics and music coalesce to produce an atmosphere found in few other games of any genre. Taken together, the team at Square Enix has produced a game that is a must-play for RPG fans and can only be classified as a “Winner” of a game.
