Perfect Plug and Play replacement carb
This Edelbrock was essentially the same as the Carter it replaced. It bolted on and worked perfectly out of the box, no additional tuning required. The boat runs flawlessly.

It leaks, unless installed perfectly. Works perfectly otherwise.

OK, so I'm a novice mechanic. R & R of this sending unit seemed simple enough. Some screws, some wires, done. But, I was not aware that the star pattern of the screws was ever so slightly asymmetrical. The first time I installed the sender, and then filled the boat tank, it leaked terribly. Long story short, I'm glad I didn't blow up the boat. In Moeller's defense, it did say "test with soap bubbles"...had I done this, I would have discovers just how bad it was leaking.
After exploring the issue, I discovered that I had aligned BOTH the gasket, AND the star pattern on the sender itself incorrectly. The way you orient (rotate) the gasket on the sender, and then the sender on the boat/gas tank has to be perfect. It's very subtle. Once I figured that out, the sender now seems to not leak...sort of.
I filled the tank to the brim (gas was venting out the side of the boat, like usual towards full). I checked the sender. Just a tiny bit of gas had leak at what seemed the very top of the sender, near the positive terminal. I'm not sure why. So, I'm in the 99.9% leak free zone now.
Other than that, the sender works perfectly.

Simple Pipe, works well
Great value. The little pouch it comes in makes for a nice, inexpensive gift. I've bought 5 so far, and will buy more as I give them away.
