Quality Counts
1 of 1 found this helpful Replaced an ageing B&D that cut in all directions except straight. The Makita doesn’t look like much but when you use it the difference is amazing, light, powerful, controllable and accurate. The orbital modes make a big difference and it is now my “go to” power tool.

I accurate and potentially dangerous for healthmonitoring
inaccurate. Regularly registers 35C or so for body temperature. Potentially hazardous when used for health monitoring. Should be removed from sale.

You get what you pay for....maybe
Okay, firstly, the item arrived promptly. Upon opening there are no instructions. On the computer screens file names are in Chinese script but the item is fairly intuitive so not the end of the world. The usb is not easy to insert as the hole in the case is slightly out of line. The unit accepted the file transfer from the cd on the second attempt but that may have been the computer in all fairness. I first tried playing via the speaker which is not really usable. An audio book at full volume next to your ear did not allow any understandable words to be heard. With head phones the situation improved but the sound is not great. It can be improved with the graphic equaliser. The sleep timer worked okay with a simple selection of time lags. The radio did not function in the UK. I could resume the book from where I left off. I have not tested the battery life but I would think it is probably okay with headphones.
In summary, it works, at least in part. Is it worth the money? No, not without a usable speaker. The radio I can do without. Probably worth about £7 or £8. It looks fairly robust so maybe good for children.
