Prince of Persia for SNES is a definite gem. Still highly playable to this day!
I've heard of this game since it came out in the early 90's, but I had just graduated high school, and didn't upgrade from the original NES to get the SNES required to play it. 30 years later, I bought a used SNES and bought this game on eBay to FINALLY give it a try. By the way, I currently have a PS4 Pro, so I'm not a stranger to the current state of gaming. I was afraid this game may go too far back to have any real play/replay value in 2020. I was wrong. The graphics are amazing. The controls are difficult to get used to at first.. and you do die a lot as you're figuring it all out, but this game far exceeded what I thought it would be. I absolutely love it, and highly recommend it if you're getting into "old school" video games and want to try something that still has some modern flavor. I haven't beaten it yet, and I'm not as obsessed with games as my 12 year old self was, so it'll take me a little while, but I'm really enjoying it. It's worth the money!

A fantastic sequel!
1 of 1 found this helpful Ok, so yes, I'm old enough to have been 11 years old when the NES came out. I was obsessed. I'll never forget playing the first Super Mario Bros. For those my age, you remember what that was like! Life changing. I was glued to that game until I mastered it. However, I started playing guitar a couple years later and got into rock and roll. Video games hit the wayside. I never played Super Mario Bros 2 back in the day. I was curious, so I just recently bought it. 30 years late, but never mind. It was weird at first. Different. Maybe too different. I watched some YouTube game play vids before I bought it thinking how weird it looked, and that I probably wouldn't like it, but I owed it to myself to take one for the team and but it anyway. So I got it. It arrives. The first 15 mins are awkward with it. Wait, I pick up characters and throw them? Ok, weird..... but fast forward a little bit and I was glued. I keep going back to that game every day. I was playing assassins creed the other day on my PS3, and I had to pause it because I wanted to get a 'quick' game of SMB2 in... I mean, it's like I'm 11 again. Now I'm sure anyone reading this has probably played it before, or is already planning on purchasing it. But if you're one of the few that was around back when this all went down, and somehow you missed that boat, and you're on the fence.. listen: Buy it. It's a fantastic game. You will love it. I haven't played SMB3 yet either, so I'll be getting that one too, after I solve this one, which may take awhile it looks like! lol
