Metal vs. ABS

Unfortunately, I thought this product was the metal version i.e.leading bayonet, mount surfaces were to be made from metal material as described. However, the manufacturer apparently has changed over to ABS construction and has very little metal other than AF contacts and screws. Don't get me wrong, after mounting, the product performs as I wanted for an extension tube; but, I'm just not certain about durability, warpage, and wear. That being said, I plan to keep the set and hope for the best.

B+W is Quality

Excellent product, my second B+W filter, and I didn't go wrong with quality. Again, I did due diligence with product reviews and B+W (along with Hoya) are leaders in optics. This polarizer is smooth to rotate, gradual and consistent light transition, with great optics looking through the viewfinder. I'm happy with my pics vs a lesser quality filter that I had been using. Shipping and delivery were both quick and secure.

Yesteryear

Plasticville is ageless (almost) but it returns me to years past. It may have a few nicks and repairs, but that's what it was like in the early 60's having a Christmas train garden. A once a year opportunity for a boy to "make believe". I still set up a garden at Christmas with American Flyer trains and Plasticville structures - every year is different on a 5 x 4 platform. Parts don't have to be perfect to imagine!
