They work
They work well and are lightweight. They are not as durable as their PVC counterparts, but are much lighter. If weight might be an issue (hiking, backpacking, kayaking, etc) these are great ! If you are looking for a more durable option to take on a fishing boat, large sailboat, etc. where weight isn't really a concern , you may want to look at a more durable material like PVC/rubber . I regularly take these in my pack for hiking/hunting in case the weather turns and they are light enough to always take with me. I also take one when I go fishing in the late fall/early spring weather when i go kayak fishing. This will easily fit my XXL sweatshirt along with my warm hat and gloves when I take them off as the temperatures rise throughout the day. It's a great design and I highly reccomend them if you are trying to keep things dry from an occasional splash or accidental, momentary knock into the water . I would go for a heavier material if I knew it was regularly going to be wet or subject to abrasion/pokes (white water or clipped to outside rack of a 4 wheeler).

Great value trekking poles.
1 of 1 found this helpful Excellent quality for the price. I like how these come with the sets of baskets and sets of rubber ends. I am a day/weekend hiker and these were perfect for my needs. I also like the 4 season adaptability of these poles. Cork grips are a must for summer hiking as it reduces sweaty hands and allows for a solid grip .
