A must have for any woodshop or builder
How often have you encountered a small gap in your structural carpentry work and wished you had a color-coded box of magic shims in a variety of standard sizes to choose from? Well, we were building a floating shed deck made from 3 separate 4'x8' floor panels that needed to be leveled-up and made contiguous for one of those metal utility shed kits. Since it would be best if each shim was of uniform thickness, not tapered, and shaped to fit at the intersection of two pieces of 2x lumber, I thought it best to go on the internet and search for just the right product. I was very pleased to find these Handi-Shims, and stack the assorted sizes to make the perfect shim height every time. I was also able to use a single wood screw to attach each shim stack securely to the bottom piece of lumber. I highly recommend these Handi-Shims, and since we're building a panelized solar cabin next, I plan to order another couple of boxes. A must for our woodshop, and probably for yours too.

3 prong Power Plug Adapter, USA NEMA 5-15R to IEC C14
I work in network racks all the time, and when I need to plug in my laptop sometimes the only available electrical outlet is on an APC Smart PDU. Now I have an adapter that will convert an IEC C14 Receptacle to a standard NEMA 5-15R. Problem solved!

Mighty Max 10Ah Batteries do the job!
My project was to build a custom battery-powered PA/music system for a memorial celebration to be held on a beach. Bench testing of components indicated 2-3 Amps at 12V and I needed 5 hours of run time. Decided to purchase two 10Ah 12v Mighty Max SLA batteries and install them in parallel.
But I was near my project deadline, and I was concerned about batteries arriving in time. I called sales dept in a panic, but they said my order was being loaded in truck for shipment and should arrive the day before my deadline. I was much relieved to know I would have 24 hrs to finish installation & testing.
Imagine my delight when the sales dept called me back to say they pulled my shipment from the truck and were sending it FedEx Next Day to make sure I got it with plenty of time to spare. When I asked how much more money to send them for overnight shipping, they said "nothing. It's on us." Very generous of them and very helpful to me as I was almost out of funding for this project.
The batteries arrived charged, but I put them on the smart charger to make sure that they were fully topped off. Their small size made it easy to mount them inside my custom PA cabinet. I said a quick prayer and hit the power button - and the system sprang to life! It played CD's, handled microphone input, and Bluetooth pairing with my smartphone.
The next day, on the beach, I cranked up the volume and played a music CD at the memorial celebration party. It sounded fantastic, and during the storytelling segment of the party people used the microphone so the large circle of 100 guests could hear them clearly. All in all, I ran the system continuously for 4 hours and it worked perfectly.
The Mighty Max batteries were awesome and probably had hours more charge available. When time permits, I will analyze and determine actual battery capacity and report back. But so far, I am totally pleased with my purchase. Thanks Mighty Max!
