Fantasy Creatures from Socks
If you are looking for something new to make or do, or if you're just a fan of monsters or silly creatures, I heartily recommend this book to you. John Murphy has taken ordinary socks and created a wide range of these delightful sock critters. Murphy provides excellent and easy to understand instructions for the specifit Sock Creatures pictured in the book, and, more importantly, he provides a solid understanding of how, in general, creatures of different shapes could be created -- creatures of your own imagining. So, the book serves as a learning center and as a springboard for your own creations. The Sock Creatures I've made have been a great hit with children and adults both. They are pretty much irresistable. Whether you want to recreate one of Murphy's critters or bring your one of your own visions into the world, this is a great book to have. Highly recommended to lovers and makers of all things irresistably silly, loveable and huggable.

Excellent
A great illustrator's retelling of a classic tale. Beautiful. One of the great "life-lessons" and a feast for the eyes all in one.
