Not the original

My friend has the original, and it reactivates by just touching it or speaking to it - no need to push a button on the paw. I would like to find the original model because it is much more interactive and has a funnier laugh - it even snorts. I am a little disappointed, but won't return it because I need it for a gag gift. I have no idea if it is endurable because I have only tried it a couple times.
