Excellent resource
1 of 1 found this helpful This book is a wonderful overview of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth in a child's life -- from conception through adolescence. I've enjoyed reading it to see what challenges and joys are soon to be coming in my children's lives and also as a quick reference for minor medical concerns. There are reference sections regarding emergencies (listing symptoms, causes and treatments) and special concerns for each age group (more lengthy discussions about things such as discipline & training, education issues, family conflict, etc.) In addition to the copy we bought for ourselves, we've purchased three others to give as gifts to new parents! Where some baby care books may only focus on the physical or mental/emotional part of parenting and children's growth, I have appreciated this book's acknowledgement of our need for God's guidance in raising His gifts to us.
